I do the beekeeping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You buy the hives and the bees; they are yours from day one and they stay on your land. What I sell is the labor and the judgment \u2014 placing the yard well, then inspecting and managing the colonies through the year so you never have to open a box yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Site walk and hive placement suited to your forage, water, and vehicle access<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sourcing of hives, bees, and equipment, purchased by and titled to you<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inspection and management on a schedule that follows the season<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mite treatment, feeding through dearth and winter, and colony replacement as needed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On-site honey harvest in July when the crop allows \u2014 the honey is yours, and this can be run as a family or company event<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table is-style-owh-fees\"><table><tbody><tr><td><strong>Colony management<\/strong><br>Per colony, per month. Full agreement provided before your first payment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Management runs on an annual term, paid in advance each April. New yards are prorated to the April cycle.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hives, bees, boxes, and equipment are bought by you and remain your property throughout. If the agreement ends, they stay where they are \u2014 you keep them.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any honey your colonies produce belongs to you. I extract it; I do not take a share of it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cancelling requires one year&#8217;s notice. Ending the agreement sooner incurs a $1,200 early termination fee.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Honey production is never guaranteed. Whether a yard makes a surplus crop depends on flora and weather, and the bees are always left enough honey to overwinter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For an on-site July harvest, you provide the enclosed space and the jars. I bring all bee equipment and do the extraction.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Additional costs \u2014 splits, queens, feed \u2014 are invoiced as they occur, not estimated up front.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Old Waverly Honeybees is a sole proprietorship of Troy A. Yard. Liability is limited to amounts paid for the service in question. Once bees are installed they cannot be refunded, and they remain yours whatever happens to the management agreement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Queen and feed invoices.<\/strong> These cover work already completed and materials already bought, so they are not refundable. Ask for the receipts any time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Service bookings.<\/strong> Pollination and removal jobs cancelled more than 48 hours ahead are refunded in full. Inside 48 hours, the deposit is retained.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Weather.<\/strong> If I have to cancel a scheduled visit, we reschedule at no charge to you.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Timing.<\/strong> Refunds are issued within 5 business days.
